Yuzu & Rosewater Sparkling Lemonade
- Serves: 1 tall glass
- Prep time: 3 min
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp yuzu juice (fresh or bottled)
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ½–1 tsp rosewater (start small—rosewater is strong)
- 1–2 tsp honey or simple syrup
- ¾ cup sparkling water or soda water
- Ice cubes
- Optional garnishes:
- Edible rose petals
- Lemon wheel
- Slice of fresh yuzu (if available)
- Fresh mint (very small amount so it doesn’t overpower the rose)
Instructions
- Fill a glass with ice.
- In a small cup, mix:
- yuzu juice
- lemon juice
- honey/simple syrup
- rosewater
- Stir until the honey dissolves.
- Pour the mixture over the ice.
- Top up with sparkling water.
- Give one gentle stir to keep the fizz.
- Garnish with rose petals or a lemon wheel.
Flavour Notes
- Yuzu gives bright citrus energy.
- Rosewater adds a soft floral touch—don’t exceed 1 tsp unless you prefer a strong rose flavour.
- Honey works beautifully with yuzu, but sugar syrup gives a cleaner finish.
Variations
- Sparkling Pink Version
Add 1–2 tsp grenadine or rose syrup for a blush colour. - Yuzu–Mint Cooler
Add 2 lightly crushed mint leaves (not too much or it masks the rose). - Yuzu & Honey Rose Fizz
Use 1 tbsp honey + extra lemon juice for a warm, deeper profile.
